We headed down to Cedar Rapids, Iowa over the weekend for a wedding! Elyk, The Boy’s dear friend since 7th grade, took a bride!
These two? There is no end to the shenanigans they have pulled. Youth group, high school, college, and even working together at Family Christian Bookstore together, they have a LOT of tales to tell.
I kept asking Elyk if something special happening that day. He said I’M GETTING MARRIED!!!!!
Mike, on the left, was their long suffering, middle school youth leader to these two knuckleheads. They share a bond.
This bond is just wrong.
Elyk and his purty Mama Fran and his proud Dad, Chuck.
These two are the next wedding!!! Jen said March 12, put it on the calendar!!!!!
We had some extra time so we took our own wedding pictures.
Capri Kel and the best man/Boy.
Mousey was trying to teach me the fine art of a selfie. I’m never sure where to look.
Honey is a floating head.
I like this one!
Honey and I gave it a go. An abysmal failure. Neither one of us has a clue where to look!
He was done trying.
There’s our purty gals!
The Girls with The Dane, who by the way GOT HER GREEN CARD last week!!!!!!! That’s 7 exclamation marks because 7 is God’s number!!!!!!!
The wedding was very nice and God centered, as are the wedding couple.
Elyk and Alisse are hitched!!!!!!!
The groom and his sweet Mama!
I like their faces!
Mr and Mrs!
The Boy and his Dane.
The Boy gave a sweet toast. Before he went up I asked him not to be inappropriate, because so many best men are totally inappropriate. Apparently The Dane said the same thing, imagine that? He was totally appropriate! Thank the Lord!
First dance to Ed Sheeran’s Thinking Out Loud, which is such a sweet song to dance to at your wedding!
The precious flower girls decided they wanted to be with The Ab-Cat for all time. They were good about taking turns and trading places!
Miss Sophie and Miss Olivia, precious little angel babies!!!
The bride’s father made his own photo booth! It was SO much fun. I did not show you the 4th picture because my People were doing something inappropriate. We later found out that all the pictures taken that night were going on Facebook!!! I apologized to the grooms mother profusely.
Elyk texted me this morning to say that they had all gathered over at his new in-laws house to look at all of the pictures on their tv. He said they all laughed hysterically when ours came up. Good grief, I can’t take those goofballs anywhere!
Congratulations to Elyk and Alisse and much love!!!!!!! 7 again.
