The Boy and The Dane have been anxiously awaiting June 30 for 9 months! Well, it came and went, but not without a lot of Braxton Hicks contractions. The Dane’s folks arrived from Denmark on July first and this little peanut decided July 2 was the perfect day to be born! 7 pounds 8 ounces, 20 inches long with a little bit of dark hair.
Already sucking her finger, so sweet!
The Dane looked wonderful after a couple nights of lost sleep and labor! She is very glad to have her on the outside!
Little Moon Pie ❤ There has been much speculation over who she resembles. I can see both of them at different times. I also see a small smackeral of Little Mousey. She is changing with every day so I will reserve judgment for a little while!
This was one of my favorites. When you see your baby holding his baby. Surreal!
So let’s go way back to June 21, 1991 when our Baby Boy was born! Heading home!
With his Daddy.
Sharing deep thoughts.
Here is The Boy with his Grandma. He and The Dane used her name, Ruth, as their little girls middle name. Love, LOVE, L.O.V.E!!! She was truly, madly, deeply in love with all her grandbabies ❤
Big “Wister” Ab-Cat, who lovingly called him The Young Prince, after her flavor of the month Disney movie, Bambi. The young prince is here! Her first comment was she wanted to see his bottom! True, we have it on video!
We were all glad to make his acquaintance, he was 2 weeks late when they MADE him come out.
Back to the present. Of course you probably knew that given the quality of the picture! One of the saddest things I now realize is we should have invested in a good camera when the kids were born. Of course, we didn’t know any better, it was all we had! Our movie camera was a behemoth too! This generation will never know the trauma of carrying those things around, they just whip out their tiny little phones!!!!!!!
I see some resemblance in his new baby, but I see her Mama as well. Looking forward to watching this little miss grow!!
She has an iron grip on her Daddy’s finger. Hold on Little Girl, never let go!
